Job Summary
Drive operational excellence by leading process optimization initiatives, analyzing data to improve efficiency, and managing projects that enhance petrochemical or refining processes. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance and deliver measurable improvements.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Analyze process data to detect trends, troubleshoot operational issues, and develop continuous improvement strategies
- Lead or contribute to project initiatives focused on upgrading or expanding existing processes, ensuring projects meet timelines and budget targets
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to resolve process-related challenges and achieve operational excellence
- Ensure all processes comply with local and international safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of processes, procedures, and engineering calculations to support operational integrity
- Provide training and guidance to operators to improve process understanding and promote adherence to best practices
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of practical experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or refining industry
- Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus and Excel-based calculations
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations specific to the petrochemical sector
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills applied to process engineering challenges
- Effective communication skills to facilitate teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
- Project management experience
- SCEM and/or Water Efficiency Manager certification
