Job description

Responsible to deliver goods to customer premises in a safe and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure that the condition of the vehicle is acceptable for pickup of containers collected /delivered.
• To support the OSH program and make safety and health a part of their daily routine and to ensure that they are following safe work methods and relevant regulations.
• To adhere and to comply with all Singapore ports rules and regulations.
• Familiarization of PSA port procedures with Singapore routes.
• Ensure the trailers is in good condition prior to mounting the containers.
• Conduct pre-operational check on the prime mover and chassis before executing the job.
• Transport container and goods according to the assigned schedule.
• Ensure containers are collected in good conditions.
• Truck container from PSA to customer and vice versa.
• Carry out daily checks to ensure vehicle’s road worthiness before use & maintain vehicle and report any faults immediately to Planner for rectification.
• Other ad hoc duties assigned by Planners.

Qualification and Education Requirements

• Possess at least Primary/Secondary School.
• 2-3 years of career experience in transportation business.
• Minimum Class 4 / 5 driving license.
• Familiar with Singapore routes.
• Capable to work independently.
• Willing to take responsibility and accountability of their roles.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in PSA, Jurong Port and Keppel Distripark.
• Good driving records.
