Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer/Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for multiple construction projects simultaneously. This role requires strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, along with the ability to support project reporting, baseline program management, and claims-related scheduling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for multiple projects (two or more concurrently).
- Prepare and submit comprehensive Monthly Progress Reports, including schedule updates, progress analysis, and critical path assessment.
- Develop, submit, and maintain Baseline Programs for all assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contract requirements.
- Revise and re-baseline programs as necessary due to project changes, delays, or client directives.
- Provide scheduling support for Extension of Time (EOT) claims, including delay analysis, forensic scheduling, and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather progress data and ensure schedule accuracy.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and propose mitigation measures to avoid potential delays.
- Attend project meetings and present schedule-related insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and best practices in project planning and scheduling.
- Support the project team in resource leveling, cost-loading schedules, and scenario planning as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning/scheduling within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential.
- Proven experience managing schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and delay analysis.
- Experience in preparing Baseline Programs, Monthly Reports, and EOT claim schedules.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PSP, CCP) is a plus.
