Job description
About the role

McConnell Dowell is seeking a detail-driven Planner to support both tender bids and live project delivery for our civil and marine infrastructure projects in Singapore and across SEA.

If you enjoy turning complex construction sequences into clear, actionable programmes – from bid stage through to commissioning – we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the programme – Develop, maintain and optimise integrated construction, procurement and deliverables schedules for both tenders and projects, aligned to WBS and contract requirements.
  • Run Primavera – Build logic-linked programmes, update progress, and keep reliable forecasts and reports for Bid Managers and Project Managers.
  • Support bids & live jobs – Provide key dates, milestones, critical path analysis, what-if scenarios, and recovery options during tendering and execution.
  • Track performance – Produce S‑curves, dashboards, and look-ahead programmes; highlight risks, slippages, and opportunities, and recommend mitigation or acceleration measures.
  • Manage time impacts – Support change control, time‑impact assessments, earned value (EV) inputs and variation/time impact tracking with commercial teams.
What We’re Looking For
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in planning and scheduling with a main contractor on civil or marine projects; tender planning experience is an advantage.
  • Competent in Primavera P6 and MS Office.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and construction methodologies.
  • Confident communicator who can partner with bid, engineering and site teams.
  • Willing to work an alternate Saturday work week when supporting the project on site.

If you are interested in adding value and contributing success to building a key infrastructure project, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity with McConnell Dowell.
