Job description

• Lead and manage the entire piping department,including engineers, supervisors, and pipe fitters.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all pipingfabrication, installation, modification, and repair works.
• Review project specifications, P&IDs,isometric drawings, and engineering documents to ensure accuracy andcompliance.
• Allocate manpower, materials, equipment, andresources to ensure smooth job execution.
• Oversee piping works onboard vessels, offshoreplatforms, or industrial sites, ensuring safety and quality.
• Perform inspection of piping systems, pressuretesting, leak testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate closely with project managers,mechanical teams, hull teams, and QA/QC for job progress and technicalclarifications.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure pipingactivities are completed within schedule and budget.
• Resolve technical issues related to pipingdesign, routing, supports, and system integrity.
• Ensure compliance with class requirements (DNV,ABS, BV), marine regulations, and engineering standards.
• Review and approve material requisitions, pipespecifications, welding requirements, and fittings.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, andenforce safe work practices.
• Provide technical guidance, training, andmentorship to piping team members.
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, andfinal completion reports for each project.
• Liaise with clients, shipowners, and inspectorsfor piping inspections and job approvals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives toenhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
