Job summary

A healthcare solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician for a 1-year contract. The role involves processing medication orders, dispensing medications, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. About the job Pharmacy Technician (Hospital/ 5.5 days/ 1 year contract)

Responsibilities

  • Processing medication order
  • Picking, packing and labeling of medicines in accordance to Standard Operatiing Procedures ( SOP)
  • Perform the following medication reconciliation steps: counting, sorting and typing of prescription
  • Perform billing function
  • Provide professional and courteous service to all patients/customers.
  • Nurse Request orders ( For Inpatient and A&E pharmacy)
  • Dispensing of medications to patients in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • To carry out simple bedside counseling at dispensing ( Inpatient)
  • Assist in the sales of Pharmacy (P) medications under supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with institutional protocol (OUTPATIENT)
  • Supervise the dispensing workflow and ensure that the team maintains high standards of dispensing
  • Ensure compliance to dispensing/ medication management policies, SOPs and medication safety policies and guidelines through conducting regular audit

Requirements

  • Diploma Graduate (in Pharmaceutical Science) or minimum 3 years (for Pharmacy Assistant job track) pharmacy related working experience in Singapore preferred.
  • Possess Aseptic Dispensing Certification (for pharmacy laboratory and cancer centre pharmacy technicians)
  • Possess basic dispensary skills
  • Have initiative and able to work independently to achieve goals of the department.
