Job summary

A leading facilities management company in Singapore is looking for a qualified individual to oversee fire safety management across various property types. The role involves performing inspections, monitoring safety systems, and coordinating with authorities to ensure compliance. A Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM) certificate and relevant experience in mixed development or commercial buildings are required. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and emergency response protocols for occupants.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fire safety management in mixed development, retail, commercial, or industrial buildings.
  • Registered with the SCDF for fire safety responsibilities.
  • Registered with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and eliminate identified fire hazards.
  • Monitor maintenance of fire safety systems.
  • Prepare fire safety guidebooks for occupants.
  • Conduct fire safety campaigns and training.
  • Manage firefighting and evacuation procedures during emergencies.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and eliminate any identified fire hazard within the premises
  • Monitor the maintenance of the fire safety systems in compliance with regulations
  • Recommend tests for fire safety systems to ensure they are in good operating condition
  • Liaise and coordinate with SCDF on all matters relating to fire safety and its requirements.
  • Prepare fire safety guidebooks for the occupants of the premises;
  • Conduct fire safety campaigns, training, and activities to create awareness
  • Manage and guide occupants in firefighting and evacuation procedures during fire or other emergency situations
  • Supervise the operation of the Fire Command Centre in the event of fire or other emergencies
  • Conduct at least 2 Table-Top Exercises, fire drills within the premises together with Fire Safety Commitee
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Fire Emergency Plan / Emergency Response Plan
  • Submit annual report to building owner
  • Notify the SCDF immediately of any occurrence of fire incident
Requirements
