A leading technology company in Singapore is looking for an Operations Supervisor to oversee rotor repair operations. The role requires a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or repair environments, a strong background in lean manufacturing principles, and excellent leadership skills. You'll lead a team to enhance efficiency and uphold safety standards, conducting audits and managing operations to ensure top quality service.
The Operations Supervisor oversees rotor repair operations, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. This role leads a team of technicians, leveraging lean principles and tools to optimize workflows, eliminate waste, and ensure customer satisfaction. The position requires participation in a shift rotation schedule.
Lead and supervise a team of technicians, ensuring takt-based production and workflow alignment through SQDC methodology.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, waste, and variability.
Promote a safe and quality-focused work environment utilizing DCA and PDCA methodologies.
Manage employee performance, deliver constructive feedback, and address performance concerns as required.
Champion The Life Saving Rules, reinforcing a culture of safety within high-risk operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and disseminate best practices.
Conduct regular audits and inspections using layered process audits (LPAs) to uphold quality and safety standards.
Investigate and resolve quality and safety issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Encourage proactive safety and quality practices, including reporting near misses and recommending improvements.
Oversee inventory, resources, and capacity to maintain efficient operations, minimize waste, and maximize throughput.
Partner with departments such as engineering and procurement to ensure seamless operations and resolve challenges.
Post-secondary education in engineering, operations management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of five years’ supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and practices (e.g., VSM, DCA, PDCA, poka-yoke).
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities, particularly in team management and development.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, including takt, standardized work, and visual management.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Willingness and ability to perform shift rotation work.
