Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping documents, payments, and stakeholder communications. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma and have 1-3 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of bulk shipment logistics and relevant documentation protocols. This role requires effective teamwork and independent work capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in logistics or shipping.
  • Strong understanding of shipping document management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify shipping documents from suppliers.
  • Arrange payments for suppliers and monitor receivables.
  • Manage internal systems for transaction data.
  • Serve as primary contact for communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist the Operation Manager and Traders.

Skills

Job Description
  • Prepare, monitor, and verify all shipping documents from suppliers. Accurately send shipping instructions and a full set of documents to relevant parties in a timely manner. Ensure all documents are filed and maintained properly.
  • Arrange timely payments to suppliers and monitor receivables from customers. Proactively check on credit line requirements, facilitate their application, and escalate any potential issues to management.
  • Handle internal systems (e.g., SAP, NNFS) to record all transaction data. Accurately input monthly closing entries and provide shipping documents to the accounting department for proper profit and loss management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for timely communication with customers, suppliers, and shipping companies. Proactively remind all parties of deadlines and provide necessary documents in a strict and timely fashion, both verbally and in writing.
  • Assist the Operation Manager and Traders.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma Holder with 1-3 years’ experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bulk shipment logistics, Incoterms, Letters of Credit, and the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) and Uniform Rules for Collections (URC 522).
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
