Roles & Responsibilities

On behalf of one of its clients in the aviation and aerospace industry, The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is recruiting an Operations Manager/ General Manager to take over the day-to-day management of the business and act as the founder’s right hand. This role is highly operational while also requiring a global, long-term vision to guide the company’s growth and structure.

The role focuses on operational excellence, contract delivery, and team leadership, with the possibility to assume broader responsibilities (P&L, sales, back office) depending on the profile.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Delivery (Core Role)

  • Ensure contracts are delivered on time and within budget
  • Drive operational performance through KPIs and clear priorities
  • Implement efficient, scalable operational processes
  • Coordinate teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution

Project Management

  • Oversee all operational and client projects
  • Bring strong project management expertise
  • Guide, coach, manage, and supervise project managers and operational leaders
  • Secure planning, resources, costs, risks, and delivery quality

Supply Chain, Procurement & Services Management

  • Oversee supply chain and procurement activities
  • Optimize suppliers, costs, lead times, and service quality
  • Ensure continuity and quality of services delivered to clients

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead approximately 20 employees, with 5 direct reports
  • Provide a global, strategic view to young but highly skilled teams
  • Structure, align, and upskill operational teams

Additional Scope (General Manager Role)

Depending on the scope assigned, the role may also include:

P&L and Business Ownership

  • Full responsibility for P&L, budgeting, and profitability
  • Oversight of finance and back‑office functions

Sales & Growth Oversight

  • Supervise sales performance, pipeline, and revenue growth
  • Ensure alignment between sales, operations, and delivery

Back Office Management

  • Oversee finance, administration, and support functions, supported by internal teams and/or outsourced providers
Requirements
