A sports organization in Singapore is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the operations of its National Performance Centres. This role involves managing partnerships, coordinating events, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and significant experience in sports administration or event management. The position also requires effective communication and budgeting skills, alongside a collaborative approach to work within various teams.
Reporting directly to the General Manager (GM), the OM will take on a proactive role to support the GM to raise and develop Singapore Cycling Federation’s (SCF) profile and prominence within the sports industry, devise strategies to diversify revenue streams through existing and new community outreach and competency development programmes.
The OM will directly be involved in the management, maintenance, promotion, development and operations of SCF’s National Performance Centres (NPCs) viz. the BMX and Pump Tracks and the Outdoor Velodrome. This will include monetising these two assets, all day-to-day activities, budgeting, reports, events and activities organised.
Prepare an Annual Calendar of Events together with SCF’s Event Manager, Sports Development Manager, High Performance Manager and Accredited Training Partners.
Initiate annual budgeting exercise in consultation with the GM, Finance Manager and High Performance Director, High Performance Manager.
Co-draft the annual task plan with the General Manager (GM).
Together with the GM, work with the SCF Board to establish sound governance and accountability systems and processes. Facilitate the organisation of Board and Sub-Committee meetings, preparation of agenda, circulation of documents, drafting of minutes. Monitor and track all matters arising from Board or Sub-Committee meetings. Manage relevant tasks assigned by the General Manager or Board members.
Prepare and submit relevant reports to Sport Singapore, Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), the SCF Board and, etc.
Ensure compliance to relevant rules and regulations– in consultation with GM. For e.g. IPC and Charities Regulations, Financial Regulations for NSAs, NSA Grant Handbook etc. Maintain SCF’s standing as a well governed, credible and trusted organization.
