Customer Support
- Serve as the main liaison for customer inquiries related to bookings, shipment status, documentation, and deliveries.
- Provide accurate information on shipping schedules, transit times, and cost estimates.
Booking and Documentation
- Coordinate container bookings with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and carriers.
- Prepare, review, and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations and internal policies.
Shipment Coordination
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to final destination.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding any delays, exceptions, or issues.
- Coordinate with ports, carriers, and trucking companies to ensure smooth operations.
Problem Resolution
- Address operational issues such as demurrage, detention, and cargo discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve service complaints efficiently.
Reporting and Administration
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and shipment documentation.
- Generate reports on shipment status, service metrics, and operational performance.
- Identify areas for process improvement and support the implementation of solutions.
Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Offer proactive advice on shipping solutions, cost optimization, and service enhancements.
Matchbox Utilization
- Utilize the Matchbox platform in collaboration with Fleet Management to optimize container and shipment tracking.
Requirements
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and shipment tracking systems.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of the Matchbox platform is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
