Job summary

A health and eldercare services provider in Singapore is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to handle general repair and maintenance tasks, manage inventory, and participate in fire safety initiatives. Candidates must be able to read and write simple English, hold a valid class 3 driving license, and be willing to work shifts including weekends. The role demands teamwork and the physical capability to lift heavy objects. This is a full-time role with various responsibilities related to ensuring operational safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure key facilities are functional and report malfunctions.
  • Assist in inventory management.
  • Man the Fire Command Centre and attend to security issues.
  • Participate in the Fire Safety Committee.

  • Conduct general repair and maintenance of premises and equipment
  • Prepare and arrange rooms in the Home for different functions
  • Assist in assets movement and labelling of assets
  • Ensure the key facilities are functional and trigger external maintenance when needed Report to the Reporting Officer of any equipment malfunction or breakdown
  • Assist in inventory management
  • Man the Fire Command Centre, CCTV monitoring system, fire safety alarm system and attend to security issues, eg. activate SCDF when required
  • Participate as member of the Home's Fire Safety Committee and support Operations to attend to any fire haze
  • Able to cover the driver duties during his/ her absence
  • Ensure that safety precautions are taken in the course of work
  • Any other duties as assigned
