Job description

The Job:

• Promotes Safety culture in the workplace
• Responsible for the preparation, compilation and maintenance of safety manuals to ensure compliance with safety regulatory standards that meets the Company’s HSE policy and objectives
• Responsible for ensuring the Safety Management System is maintained and properly followed to comply with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, and that it meets the Company’s HSE policy objectives
• Continuous review of the HSE Manual and its implementation
• Promotes good HSE practices and ensures these practices are in place and safety regulations followed
• Conducts investigation of accidents and near miss incidents reported
• Organizes and conducts HSE training plans
• Intervenes in unsafe activities or operations

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Health and Safety Engineering / Diploma in Chemical Process and its equivalent/ WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health
• Minimum 2 years of relevant HSE working experience with knowledge of local statutory requirements & HSE standards, preferably within manufacturing industry
