  • Receive referrals and conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with therapeutic objectives, patient preferences, and functional abilities.

  • Facilitate individual and group music therapy sessions to support emotional well‑being, meaningful engagement, and quality of life.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adapt therapeutic approaches as required.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation, including assessments, care plans, session notes, and progress reports.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing updates on patient and family engagement.

  • Identify complex psychosocial needs and refer patients to appropriate professionals (e.g. social workers, psychologists) for issues such as severe depression, suicide risk, or complicated grief.

  • Support the development and enhancement of programmes to address service gaps and improve care delivery.

  • Contribute to research initiatives that advance evidence‑based music therapy practice in palliative care.

  • Promote awareness of music therapy through presentations, public education, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Maintain professional competency through clinical supervision, continuing education, and self‑care practices.

  • Attend departmental meetings and provide updates on clinical activities and projects.

  • Collaborate with inter‑professional teams to design, implement, and evaluate holistic interventions for patients and families.

  • Assist in organising departmental initiatives, programmes, and events.

  • Prepare reports on therapy outcomes and contribute to internal and external publications.

  • Undertake additional duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor, Head of Department, or management.

  • Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy

  • 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment
