Job summary

A painting solutions company in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual to prepare and paint vehicle surfaces. Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle body surfaces by washing, sanding, scraping, and masking.
  • Mix and match paint colours for accurate colour matching.
  • Apply primer, basecoat, clearcoat using spray gun.
  • Perform minor touch-ups, polishing, and buffing.
  • Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment.
  • Inspect paintwork quality and rectify defects.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures with PPE.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and dispose of waste properly.
  • Support other workshop tasks as needed.
Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicle body surfaces by washing, sanding, scraping, and masking areas before painting.

  • Mix and match paint colours using paint codes, colour charts, and blending techniques to achieve accurate colour matching.

  • Apply primer, basecoat, clearcoat, and other coatings using spray gun and related equipment.

  • Perform touch‑up works, polishing, and buffing to correct minor imperfections.

  • Operate and maintain spray booth, compressor, spray guns, and related painting tools/equipment.

  • Inspect paintwork quality (colour, gloss, thickness, smoothness) and rectify defects such as runs, orange peel, dust nibs, and peeling.

  • Follow workplace safety procedures, including proper use of PPE (respirators, gloves, goggles) and safe handling of paint/solvents.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure proper disposal of paint waste and chemicals.

  • Support other workshop tasks when required (e.g., minor body preparation assistance, coordination with body repair team).
