Job Description We are seeking a passionate and experienced preschool Lead Teacher to guide and nurture children aged 18 months to 6 years in a prepared Montessori environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering authentic Montessori education while supporting each child’s holistic development—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

  • Prepare and maintain a well-organised, safe, and engaging Montessori classroom environment
  • Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress and development
  • Foster children’s independence, concentration, confidence, and love for learning
  • Establish positive and respectful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, reports, and daily updates
  • Guide and support assistant teachers in the classroom
  • Ensure compliance with ECDA regulations, centre policies, and health & safety standards
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and team meetings
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (Montessori qualification preferred)
  • Montessori certification (AMI / AMS / equivalent) is an advantage
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a preschool or Montessori setting
  • Experience working with children aged 18 months to 6 years
  • Strong understanding of Montessori principles and child development
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
