Job summary

A premier golf and country club in Singapore is seeking a member services staff who will be responsible for managing bookings and providing exceptional service to members and guests. Duties include coordinating golf events, checking member handicaps, and offering administrative support. Candidates should have strong communication skills, familiarity with golf handicapping, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Training will be provided for specific roles. This position is vital in ensuring an excellent experience for all club patrons.

Qualifications

  • Good command of spoken English and Mandarin would be an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable of golf handicapping and basic computing is an advantage.
  • High tolerance level and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bookings for golf according to club policies.
  • Check handicap for members and announce tee off times.
  • Provide administrative support, including billing and messages.

Summary

He / she directly addresses the needs of all members / guestsand ensures an exceptional experience. He / she treats members / guests with respect and handles on-line bookings or walk-in requests, registration procedures and member/guest complaints with professionalism to promote a positive first impression.

He / she should have a working knowledge of the integratedmanagement system (IMS) to aid in the various job functions.

He / she must be knowledgeable to present accurate andtimely information and alternatives to meet members’ / guests’ requests and needs.

Good communication, interpersonal skills, active listening and showing empathy, areessential in order to excel in this job role.

Roles and Responsibilities

Bookings for golf in accordance to the Club’s policy and guidelines.

Checks handicap for members.

Informs club members pertaining to tee off time for major tournament.

Provide administration support such as faxing of departmental documents, taking messages, billing of green and buggy fees, preparation of Private Competition invoices and preparation of score cards.

Announces tee off time and general announcements.

Coordinates or synchronizes tee off time with the starter.

Files reciprocal, complimentary for committee members, golf billing chit and SPGA and membership documents.

Answer general enquiries such as golf booking fees; membership fees; operations hours of the Club’s outlets.

Prepare membership card for members.

Plans and co-cordinates golf events and major competitions and assist in the execution of the schedule of play.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

Good command of spoken English and Mandarin would be an advantage.Knowledgeable of golf handicapping, basic computing and operation is an advantage but training will be provided.

Knowledgeable of different competition formats and computer scoring skills is an advantage but training will be provided.

Knowledgeable on the Club’s Rules and Regulations.

High tolerance level and attentive to detail.

Able to communicate and understand member’s requirements and needs.

Able to cooperate and build rapport with team members.

Well versed in Microsoft Office
