Mechanical Field Engineer

to our Maintenance team in Tuas Refinery, Singapore.

You will focus on to provide direction and supervision of mechanical, or ad-hoc contractors. In this job you will work closely with Maintenance Lead. for helping the organization achieve maintenance excellence/reliability improvements by providing direction and supervision for the execution of tasks.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

  • Ensure all mechanical aspects of Safety, Environmental, Quality and Cost are being met.
  • Accountable for execution of all maintenance work in accordance with the local Authorities requirement, Industry and Neste rules and regulations.
  • Ensures Neste and Contract Resources are available for scheduled jobs and special services. Manage, coach, and facilitate a team to execute maintenance activities. Distribute and discuss jobs daily.
  • Jointly discusses new job priority with Operation and Planners.
  • Responsible for performing frontline troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Adept in Rotating equipment and Vessel Maintennace
  • Shall attend the daily operational and co-ordination meetings.
  • Responsible for crossed discipline coordination to complete the principle maintenance task.
  • Participate actively in Neste HSSEQ programs to achieve own, contractors, and functional HSSEQ targets.
  • Responsible to resource and deliver assigned Turnaround, Project maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance to the MOC, PHA, PSSR process.
  • Understanding, supporting and applying Neste recommended practices for best in class results.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with technical assurance and maintenance procedures.
  • Setting a safety culture to ensure a personal and continuous care around the safety of anyone at site.
Keys to success in this role
  • Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in refinery and petrochemical in the same position for 3 years for rotating and static equipment.
  • Prior Experience in Projects and TAs execution
  • Knowledgeable with international standards, petroleum /petrochemical plant equipment
  • Experienced in maintenance work control, planning, reliability methodologies
