Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Material Controller for a 2-year contract in Singapore. The role involves managing incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating deliveries. Candidates with Higher NITEC or fresh graduates in any field are encouraged to apply. This position requires the ability to work overtime and supports a transition to a permanent role after a probation period.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy of consignment against purchase orders.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Prepare and maintain records of material transactions.
  • Coordinate with other departments for timely delivery of materials.
  • Implement proper storage and handling procedures.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

ALG is currently recruiting for a Material Controller, for our engineering client, to work at the west side of Singapore.

This is an exciting opportunity for a 2-year contract, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role after a 3-month probation period!

Working Days: 5 Days (Monday - Friday)

Working Hours: Rotating Shift is Required (0700am to 1510pm, 1450pm to 2300pm, 2300pm to 0710am)

Job Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy of consignment against purchase orders.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure efficient material handling and retrieval.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed to prevent stockouts.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain records of material transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials to support production needs.
  • Implement and enforce proper storage and handling procedures to prevent damage or loss of materials.
  • Ad-hoc task given by Manager/Supervisor.
