Job summary

A leading marine engineering firm is seeking a Marine Service Engineer to perform servicing and repair of marine engines. This role requires 8–10 years of hands-on experience and a diploma or degree in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. It entails working onboard vessels and in shipyards, overseeing engine components and ensuring effective communication with customers. The position offers up to $10,000 in salary plus OT and bonuses, with on-call availability required.

  • 7 days / 24 hours standby at home

  • 14 days AL

  • Diploma/Degree in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Preferably 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in marine engine repair.

Our Client, leading specialist for Marine Engine Solutions Provider, is inviting qualified candidates to fill the position as Marine Service Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Marine Engine Servicing & Repair

  • Perform overhaul, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke marine diesel engines.

  • Conduct engine performance checks, diagnostic assessments, and prepare inspection/technical reports.

  • Support servicing of ME, AE, turbocharger, governor, fuel pump, cooling system, and mechanical components.

2. Onboard & Shipyard Operations

  • Perform service jobs onboard vessels, in shipyards, and at anchorage following safety procedures.

  • Coordinate with ship representatives to ensure smooth execution of repair tasks.

  • Perform lifting, shifting, removal/installation of major engine components.

3. Workshop Support

  • Oversee engine parts reconditioning and machining work.

  • Ensure proper documentation and parts control.

4. Customer Communication & Job Execution

  • Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams.

  • Provide timely updates and prepare job reports.

5. Additional Operational Duties

  • Supervise apprentices/technicians if required.

  • Support emergency repair call‑outs and riding team assignments.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma/Degree in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Preferably 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in marine engine repair.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Willing to work in shipyards/anchorage and perform overtime when required.
