Roles & Responsibilities
  • Review customer requirements such as BOM (DBI), drawings and material specifications
  • Create/update routing (MPC) for each component to be manufactured, focusing on optimizing equipment and material yield
  • Provide engineering support to Sales on MPP, MPOP etc prior to job execution and also to Production in achieving technical and quality requirements
  • Initiate internal PPM (Pre‑production meeting) on those complex FAI parts
  • Involve in machining processes cycle time estimation for new RFQ
  • Communicate with Sales team to identify/close the gap in RFQ review/quote
  • Convert 3D Drawings or JT files into 2D drawings
  • Coordinate with CNC programmer and production engineer on manufacturing process planning and tooling/fixtures required
  • Work closely with production planner on actual cycle time vs estimation for future RFQ quote accurateness
  • Identify opportunities and make constructive suggestions for process improvement
  • Recommend and implement new machining/fabrication techniques to improve the productivity and manufacturing capability
  • Comply with HSE rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering/ NTC‑2 in Machining Trade
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as CNC programmer/machinist in manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and effective problem‑solving skill
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing industries with strong machining background
  • Familiar with CNC programming and CNC machining
  • Familiar with CAD software (e.g. UG, AutoCAD)
  • Good understanding of manufacturing cost estimation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill and ability to interface with all levels of people
