Job summary

A leading broadband satellite operator in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Support Technician for a 4-month role, with potential for extension. The technician will assist with various manufacturing tasks, including finishing production parts, operating machines, and maintaining a tidy workplace. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, strong manual dexterity, reliability, and good communication skills. Flexible working hours may include evenings or weekends as needed.

About the Role

The Manufacturing Support Technician will work with Kacific’s Product Development and Innovation (PDI) team and will be based in Singapore. He/She will report to the CNC Technician at our manufacturing facility at NorthStar @ AMK light industrial complex. The role is initially anticipated for a duration of four (4) months but may be extended due to project requirements. We are looking for a motivated and conscientious individual to support our CNC Technician across a range of manufacturing tasks for our in-house designed and manufactured satellite antenna equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finishing tasks for production parts: deburring, polishing, etc.
  • Loading and unloading of the milling machines.
  • Loading and unloading of the lathe.
  • Painting of in-house produced parts.
  • Assembly of in-house produced components.Packing of assembled products.
  • Support in maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the workplace.
  • Follow workplace health, safety, and privacy compliance standards.
  • Support with ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience of working in a small-scale manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Ability to operate to a consistent standard across the produced articles and components.
  • Manual dexterity in working on components and assembling equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable, adaptable and attention to detail.
Working Hours
  • Normal working hours are 9.00am to 6.00pm including one hour for lunch.
  • Some flexibility to include periodic evening or weekend working, if required.
