Responsibilities
  • Assist the Deputy Director / Assistant Director to oversee and manage the smooth running of the day-to-day operations in the Business Office. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage a team of staff performing billing activities. This includes ensuring patients’ bills are processed on a timely basis and queries arising from patients and other stakeholders are attended to promptly.
  • Liaise with MOH, CPF Board, insurers and other relevant authorities on health finance policy matters.
  • Responsible for the timely submission of claims to third-party payors (e.g. CPF Board, Private Medical Insurance, MCPS, etc.) and work closely with them to resolve any claims issues including billing errors.
  • Manage and ensure correct system setup for billing, counter collection and GL postings.
  • Support management decision-making by performing data extraction, collation and business analysis as needed.
  • Responsible for timely reporting to stakeholders, including MOH and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and workgroups, collaborating on issues that impact patients billing, ensuring new or revisions to policies are communicated to and complied with by clinic operations and ground staff.
  • Provide supervision, guidance and training to the team.
  • Facilitate external audits and participate in projects as assigned by the senior management.
Qualifications
  • Recognized Degree in Accountancy / Business Administration etc.
  • 8 years’ relevant working experience preferably in healthcare setting, of which min. 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player, capable of managing cross-functional and institutional relationships.
  • Able to work independently and handle tight deadlines. Adept at handling complex, ambiguous and challenging situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills, with experience in data analysis.
