Job description
Manager, QSSET (Quality, Safety, Security, Environmental, Training)

The QSSET Manager is responsible for driving, managing, and overseeing all aspects of Quality, Safety, Security, Environmental and Training programs to ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry best practices.

The role provides leadership and direction for continuous improvements, risk management, and an organizational culture of excellence across all relevant sections to ensure services of the highest quality meets the expected from our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and systems to meet Quality, Safety, Security, and Training Standards.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and customer requirements. (e.g. ISO, Airworthiness & Regulatory Authorities)
  3. Monitor and analyse performance data; prepare reports and recommendations for management review.
  4. Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Oversee timely closure of findings and implementation of corrective actions.
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QSSET domains, using data analysis and industry benchmarking.
  6. Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensure appropriate follow-up and preventive actions.
  7. Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurers, customers, and other stakeholders on QSSET matters.
  8. Oversee and coordinate both initial and recurrent training programs to ensure employee competence and compliance.
  9. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to QSSET team members; foster a strong safety and quality culture.
  10. Organize and lead regular reviews of the QSSET Management system including compilation of emerging trends and regulations and adoption of best practices in Quality, Safety, Security, the Environment, and Training.
  11. Any other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 Years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO Standards, Aviation Regulations (if applicable), and other relevant quality/safety management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in audits, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and analytical abilities.
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management, or related areas is highly advantageous.
