A Maintenance Manager (Properties & Facilities) leads the upkeep, repair, and operation of buildings and grounds, ensuring safety, functionality, and efficiency by managing teams, budgets, contractors, and emergency responses for all physical assets, from HVAC to structures, ensuring occupant satisfaction and compliance with regulations.
Team Leadership: Supervise maintenance staff, technicians, cleaners, and groundskeepers, providing training and assigning duties.
Budget Management: Handle maintenance budgets, control costs, and manage service contracts and insurance.
Operations & Repairs: Schedule preventative maintenance, oversee repairs (routine and emergency), and manage renovations and installations.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, building codes, and environmental standards.
Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage external contractors to meet specifications.
Asset Management: Inspect structures, manage equipment, and maintain detailed records of all activities.
Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for out-of-hours issues, security, and emergencies.

Preventative Maintenance: Proactive upkeep to avoid major breakdowns.
Reactive Maintenance: Quick fixes for unexpected issues and tenant requests.
Facility Planning: Overseeing installations, refurbishments, and space utilization.

Familiarity with relevant government portals and standards (e.g., Green Mark in Singapore) is a plus.
