Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage and coordinate all M&E works according to project specifications, drawings, and regulations.
- Work closely with consultants, architects, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, materials, and equipment submissions.
- Monitor project progress and ensure M&E installations meet schedules and quality standards.
Technical & Site Supervision
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure M&E works comply with design, code requirements, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering solutions on-site.
- Oversee testing & commissioning of M&E systems, ensuring proper functionality and documentation.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all M&E works comply with statutory regulations, including BCA, PUB, SCDF, LTA, EMA, NEA, SS, and relevant codes of practice.
- Prepare technical reports, progress documentation, and inspection records.
Cost & Procurement Support
- Assist in evaluating quotations and selecting M&E subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor material usage, verify claims, and ensure cost control for M&E scope.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and guide junior engineers (for Manager level).
- Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Attend client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings.
Requirements
For M&E Engineer:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related fields.
- 2–5 years of M&E experience in construction projects.
- Strong understanding of M&E systems, drawings, and site coordination.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
For M&E Manager:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record managing full M&E scope in building projects.
- Strong coordination, technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills.
