Job description

We are looking of a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to manage transportation and distribution activities for our Company. The Logistics Manager is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, internal team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to various project sites. The ideal candidate should process strong organizational and communications skills as well as a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the transportation and distribution of goods from suppliers to customers.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Plan and optimize transportation routes to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Track and update shipment status, ensuring accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders.
• Handle import and export documentation, including customs clearance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Resolve any transportation or distribution issues or delays promptly and escalating when needed.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Work together with internal teams such as procurement, sales, and customer service to support business objectives.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Willing to commute to various sites.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in related field.
• Basic computer knowledge is essential.

• Able to work independently, with maturity and a team player.
• Willing to work beyond regular work hours to address agent or customer inquiries.
• Able to commence work within a short notice is preferred.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably within the specified industry or sector.
• Strong knowledge of various transportation modes, including road, rail, air, and sea freight.
• Proficient in logistics software and tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Familiar with import/export regulations and customs procedures.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
