Job description

You are an experienced Manager Legal (Contract Specialist) responsible for handling contract drafting, review, negotiation, and management across mall, hotel, residential, and vendor operations at Express Infrastructure Private Limited in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Your role is crucial in ensuring legally sound, risk-mitigated, and business-aligned contracts. Your key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and finalizing commercial agreements, Leave & Licence agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and MoUs. You will lead legal negotiations, identify and mitigate risks, maintain contract lifecycle, and collaborate with various teams for contract execution. Providing legal guidance on contract interpretation, disputes, compliance, and assisting in dispute resolution are also part of your responsibilities.To excel in this role, you must have an LLB degree (mandatory), preferably an LLM or specialization in Contract Law. With 7-10 years of experience in corporate legal or in-house counsel roles, exposure to retail leasing, infrastructure, commercial contracts, facility management, or hospitality sectors is beneficial. Strong drafting and negotiation skills, deep understanding of contract law, excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office are essential for success.This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits like paid sick time and Provident Fund.
