Job summary

A government defense agency in Singapore seeks a legal advisor to provide sound legal counsel across various departments. Job description

What the role is:

You provide sound and timely legal advice to MINDEF/SAF departments on a wide spectrum of legal issues, in the areas of civil law, international law, operations law and military law.

What you will be working on:

• Provide legal counsel
• Handle military prosecutions in the military courts
• Review and draft contracts
• Support legislation matters
• Conduct legal training
• Advise on operations law
• Support SAF exercises and deployments

Challenge(s):

Interacting with a wide spectrum of stakeholders (both legally and non-legally trained) and communicating legal advice clearly and effectively. Being familiar with the wide areas of operations and policy in MINDEF.

What we are looking for:

• Education in Law
• At least 2 years Post Qualification Experience (PQE) is preferred
• International Law background is advantageous
• Strong legal analysis and reasoning skills
• Good writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
