Job summary

A leading legal firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified legal professional with expertise in construction law. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating various legal documents, providing legal advice to business units, and overseeing the establishment and closure of subsidiaries. The ideal candidate must possess at least 4 years of post-qualification experience, excellent communication skills, and strong analytical abilities. This is an on-site role located in the West region of Singapore.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
• Knowledge of construction law and/or experience in the construction industry.
• Pro-active and independent.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and render legal advice.
• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial issues.
• Handle setting up and closing subsidiaries and branches.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other documents; and render legal advice
• Provide legal advice and support to the group of companies on a broad range of commercial issues
• Handle the setting up of subsidiaries, associates, branches and project offices as well as the closing or liquidation of such set up
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and consultants as well as oversee the progress of their work
• Coordinate with and advise business units and departments on legal matters

Requirements

• Degree in Law with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience, with knowledge of construction law and/or with experience in the construction industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, pro-active and independent
• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Willing to travel when required
• Working location: West
