Job Summary

The Lead Designer / Head of Design serves as the firm’s creative, technical, and leadership cornerstone. This senior role defines the company’s design philosophy, leads high‑end full‑scope interior design projects, manages and develops a design team, and engages directly with high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the company’s design philosophy to ensure a distinctive, high‑end brand identity
• Deliver full‑scope interior design projects from concept through construction, ensuring design excellence and commercial viability
• Manage, mentor, and develop a design team through structured guidance, design reviews, and capability building
• Define and implement material strategy and sourcing for luxury panels, natural stone, woodwork, bespoke joinery, and premium finishes to meet high-quality standards
• Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure accurate execution of design intent and craftsmanship
• Engage directly with high-net-worth clients, maintaining professionalism and building strong relationships to align design outcomes with client expectations
• Balance design innovation with practical and commercial considerations to drive successful project delivery
• Operate independently with accountability at a company leadership level, contributing to strategic decision-making and brand development

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 15 years of professional interior design experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as Design, Head of Design, or Lead Designer
• Proven track record delivering high-end, full-scope interior design projects in multiple markets and in both residential and commercial sectors
• Demonstrated experience managing large design teams of 20 or more professionals
• Strong command of Oriental aesthetics (东方美学) and expertise in luxury materials including panels, natural stone, woodwork, and bespoke joinery
• Ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail, proportion, craftsmanship, and material quality throughout project delivery
• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin essential for client and team communication
