What the role is

As a member of the Biology Division of the Applied Sciences Group, you will play a critical role in DNA profiling of reference samples for criminal investigation.

What you will be working on

• Perform DNA tests under the scientists’ supervision.
• Assist scientists in developing/validating new technologies/methods.
• Assist in laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory, purchase of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies.
• Assist in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates and conduct of basic performance checking tests.

What we are looking for

• Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent) is a must
• Successfully completed supervised laboratory research project in biochemistry/molecular biology area.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
