A Japanese Izakaya restaurant in Orchard is seeking a kitchen assistant to support food preparation and maintain kitchen cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have basic kitchen skills, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required. About Company:

Our client is a Japanese Izakaya restaurant located at Orchard.

Job Description:
  • Assist in food preparation (e.g. washing, cutting, peeling ingredients) according to the recipes and instructions
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including cooking stations, equipment and utensils
  • Handle dishwashing duties, including cleaning dishes, pots and kitchen equipment
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and supplies
  • Dispose of waste properly and maintain hygiene and safety standards
  • Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries
  • Perform simple cooking tasks under supervision if needed (e.g. frying, grilling)
  • Ensure food safety standards at all times
  • Support overall kitchen operations during busy periods
Job Requirements:
  • Preferably 1 year of related working experience
  • Proficient in basic kitchen skills
  • Passionate about culinary arts with a team-oriented attitude
  • Good personality and time management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations

Compensation:
  • Working location: Orchard
  • Working Hour: 4pm - 11pm (Sunday off)
  • 5/6 days per week
