Join Our Finance Team as a Junior Financial Accountant!

Are you ready to launch your career in finance with a role that’s hands-on, varied, and genuinely fun? We’re looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join our energetic Finance team and support both our Insurance and Reinsurance divisions across Asia.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the numbers: Manage payments, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Keep us compliant: Prepare MAS and GST reports and support tax-related reporting.
  • Make things better: Help improve our Accounts Payable processes and documentation.
  • Be a team player: Support a mix of tasks including training grants, surveys, and staff benefits reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Accounting
    • Process vendor payments and verify invoices.
    • Post journal entries and complete monthly reconciliations.
    • Execute month-end close procedures and support audits.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Submit monthly reports to MAS and quarterly GST returns.
    • Assist with annual staff benefit tax reporting.
  • Other Duties
    • Review and enhance Accounts Payable workflows
    • Jump into ad hoc projects and support the Financial Controller and CFO Asia as needed.
What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a motivated individual with a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable and/or financial reporting, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as PeopleSoft or Oracle is essential. We value strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and will possess excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

Essential:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable and/or financial reporting, ideally within insurance or financial services sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle)
  • Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
