Job description

Java Solutions Engineer (Permanent, Banking)

• Understand and analyze user, business, and system functional requirements to determine delivery requirements, in collaboration with technical analysts.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate existing versus proposed processes, identifying technical constraints and limitations, and design technical solutions based on the Functional Specification Document.
• Develop solutions based on the Technical Specification, conduct unit testing to ensure the quality of development, and perform code reviews for junior team members and vendors, while creating or reviewing documents related to system release or deployment.
• Support system testing activities to ensure timely resolution of reported errors, assist in integration testing and user acceptance testing, and create or review documents related to system release or deployment.
• Provide technical support for incident resolution, conduct root cause analysis, manage stakeholder expectations, and elevate issues to higher tiers such as Team Lead or Team Head when necessary.
• Enhance IT capabilities through automation and the adoption of emerging or disruptive technologies such as containerization, cloud, and AI.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experiences.
• More than 8 years of experience in application development, including Java-based applications, and extensive expertise in designing and implementing web-based applications, along with in-depth knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, public cloud technologies, and a solid understanding of DevOps and workflow/process automation systems.
• Possess strong expertise and in-depth knowledge of RDBMS, including Oracle Database, MS SQL, DB2, MySQL, and others.
• Experience and knowledge of emerging technologies such as RPA, AI, and Data Analytics would be a distinct advantage.
