Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Java Developer with at least 5 years of experience. The role requires expertise in frontend development with Vuejs or Angularjs and a strong understanding of application design and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will work on various technical aspects including REST services, design patterns, and CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working with Java ecosystem.
• Degree is Computer Science or Equivalent.
• Very good understanding of application system design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of different design patterns.
• Working experience with Agile Methodology in at least one project.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test components from functional specifications.
• Participate in analyzing, resolving and providing technical support escalated to the team.
• Contribute and guide other developers to maintaining a high standard of delivery quality.
• Propose solutions to problems and build designs with the Technical Lead.
• Participate in peer code reviewing.

• Experience developing web service - REST, gRPC
• Good knowledge of different design patterns
• Working experience with Agile Methodology in at least on project
• Good knowledge on TDD/BDD using Cucumber

Good knowledge and understanding of the following:

• Maven

• CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Gitlab CI
• Kubernetes
• Messaging Systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebsphereMQ)

Functional

• General knowledge of corporate and investment banking especially financing domain.
