Job description

We are seeking for an IT Executive to support the effective operation of the school’s technology infrastructure and systems. This role assists in managing network resources, providing technical support, maintaining software applications, and ensuring adherence to IT policies and data protection standards. The IT Executive works closely with the Head of IT to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly IT services to the school community.

Key Responsibilities
1. Network and Systems Support
  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of the school’s network infrastructure, including internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and internal systems.
  • Support the implementation of security protocols and ensure safe use of IT resources.
  • Troubleshoot network and system issues to ensure stable and reliable operations.
2. IT Applications and System Administration
  • Provide support in deploying, updating, and maintaining educational and administrative applications such as Seesaw, iSAMS, SchoolsBuddy. Assist in ensuring effective integration between different software applications.
  • Support updates and content management for the school’s website and online learning platforms.
3. Technical Support and Customer Service
  • Provide timely technical support to staff, students, and parents across hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage and update the IT helpdesk system to ensure efficient issue tracking and resolution.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering basic IT training sessions and user guides to improve digital literacy.
4. Hardware and Asset Management
  • Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment including computers, tablets, printers, projectors, and classroom technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and assist in lifecycle management (deployment, replacement, disposal).
5. Data Management and Compliance
  • Assist in data backup routines, storage management, and recovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and uphold confidentiality of school data.
6. Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination
  • Assist the Head of IT in liaising with IT vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and procurement.
  • Coordinate with staff and external partners to support smooth delivery of IT services.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Experience in an educational or international school institution is an advantage.
Technical Skills
  • Basic knowledge of network systems, cybersecurity principles, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and mobile device management.
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions and common educational technologies (Seesaw, iSAMS, SchoolsBuddy, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Soft Skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users with varying levels of digital proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Organised, proactive, and attentive to detail.
