Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Fund Manager across the full investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, portfolio support, and investor reporting.
- Conduct market, sector, and company-level research to identify investment opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
- Source deals and perform comprehensive due diligence, including business, financial, technology, competitive, and risk assessments.
- Develop and present investment theses and recommendations; prepare executive‑ready materials for internal reporting and investment committees.
- Review and analyse financial statements and operating metrics of target and portfolio companies.
- Build financial models to assess valuations, returns potential, and exit scenarios for new and follow‑on investments.
- Manage deal pipeline and ensure accurate tracking of progress, key issues, and decision points.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (e.g., law firms, accounting firms, fund administrators, brokers) to ensure smooth deal execution.
- Support portfolio companies in value creation initiatives such as partnerships, fundraising, and industry insights.
- Assist with investor reporting, portfolio monitoring, and stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to internal initiatives aimed at improving tools, processes, and capabilities for efficient investment execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in venture capital or related investment roles; exposure to fintech, insurtech, or healthtech is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling, investment analysis, and valuation, with the ability to form independent, data‑driven views.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.
- Solid understanding of legal documentation, investment structures, and deal processes in venture capital, private equity, and credit.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, institutional, and multicultural team environment.
