Job description

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning & Optimisation

• Analyse inventory levels to support demand requirements and replenishment plans
• Monitor inventory turnover, days of supply, and stock ageing
• Identify slow-moving, excess, and at-risk inventory
• Support inventory allocation decisions to balance availability and efficiency

Shelf-Life & Expiry Management

• Track product shelf life and expiry dates across warehouses and locations
• Ensure FEFO / FIFO compliance in inventory planning and fulfilment
• Flag and recommend actions for near-expiry inventory (transfers, promotions, write-offs)

Order Fulfilment & Customer Service Support

• Support order fulfilment by confirming stock availability and lead times
• Assist in order allocation, prioritisation, and release
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery
• Communicate proactively with customer service and sales on shortages, delays, or substitutions

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare inventory and fulfilment performance reports (fill rate, ageing, expiry risk)
• Analyse root causes of fulfilment issues and inventory variances
• Provide actionable insights to improve service levels and inventory performance

  Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, customer service, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams
  • Support alignment between demand forecasts, inventory plans, and customer commitments
  • Escalate risks impacting inventory health or customer fulfilment

  Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain inventory and order data accuracy in ERP / fulfilment systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in inventory planning and fulfilment processes
  • Assist in developing SOPs for inventory allocation and fulfilment controls

  Job Requirements

  • Min. Diploma in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management
  • 2–5 years’ experience in inventory planning, fulfilment, or supply chain operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Customer- and service-oriented mindset
  • Clear communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to balance planning responsibilities with operational execution
