Job description

• Salary: $3,000 – $4,000 + Variable Bonus

• Lead yearly stocktakes and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies.

• Manage safety stock levels and optimize supply chain efficiency.

• 5 years of experience specifically with valves, pipes, and fittings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of MS Dynamics Business Central is a plus.

Our Client is a major distributor and procurement specialist for the oil & gas, chemical, and power industries. As a key subsidiary of a SGX-listed group, they maintain a significant warehouse inventory of pipeline valves, steel pipes, and explosion-proof equipment. They are looking for a meticulous professional to oversee inventory accuracy and optimize supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory management

• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts

• Maintain and monitor closely on monthly safety stock level to cater to order requests

• Lead yearly inventory stock take

• Ensure sales team are using the correct item codes

• Review and monitor products for discrepancies troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records

• Analyse product sales, stock turnover rate and inventory level

• Prepare, generate, and file inventory reports to ensure inventory accuracy

• Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and reduce operations costs

• Administer purchase orders and payment process while working together with finance team on payment issues

• Liaise with forwarder or courier service to plan shipping schedules accordingly to fulfil orders

• Perform other and ad‑hoc duties & responsibilities as assigned by the by the Superiors

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in inventory management within the industrial hardware or piping industry.

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Able to analyze stock turnover rates, sales data, and inventory levels to maximize efficiency.

• Strong skills in MS Office; experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is highly advantageous.

• Experienced in coordinating with forwarders and couriers to manage shipping schedules and fulfill orders.

Other Information

• Location: Jurong Area

• Working Hours: Standard Office Hours (Monday to Friday)

• Includes administering purchase orders, payment processing, and developing new operational procedures.
