A major distribution company in Singapore is seeking an experienced inventory management professional. This role involves overseeing inventory accuracy and optimizing supply chain operations, with responsibilities including leading stock takes and maintaining records. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in the industrial hardware sector and strong skills in Microsoft Excel. The position offers a competitive salary and the chance to work in a dynamic environment.
Salary: $3,000 – $4,000 + Variable Bonus
Lead yearly stocktakes and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies.
Manage safety stock levels and optimize supply chain efficiency.
5 years of experience specifically with valves, pipes, and fittings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of MS Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
Our Client is a major distributor and procurement specialist for the oil & gas, chemical, and power industries. As a key subsidiary of a SGX-listed group, they maintain a significant warehouse inventory of pipeline valves, steel pipes, and explosion-proof equipment. They are looking for a meticulous professional to oversee inventory accuracy and optimize supply chain operations.
Oversee inventory management
Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
Maintain and monitor closely on monthly safety stock level to cater to order requests
Lead yearly inventory stock take
Ensure sales team are using the correct item codes
Review and monitor products for discrepancies troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
Analyse product sales, stock turnover rate and inventory level
Prepare, generate, and file inventory reports to ensure inventory accuracy
Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and reduce operations costs
Administer purchase orders and payment process while working together with finance team on payment issues
Liaise with forwarder or courier service to plan shipping schedules accordingly to fulfil orders
Perform other and ad‑hoc duties & responsibilities as assigned by the by the Superiors
At least 5 years of experience in inventory management within the industrial hardware or piping industry.
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Able to analyze stock turnover rates, sales data, and inventory levels to maximize efficiency.
Strong skills in MS Office; experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is highly advantageous.
Experienced in coordinating with forwarders and couriers to manage shipping schedules and fulfill orders.
Location: Jurong Area
Working Hours: Standard Office Hours (Monday to Friday)
Includes administering purchase orders, payment processing, and developing new operational procedures.
