Job summary

A technology services firm based in Singapore is seeking a Server Administrator. The role involves hardware setup and maintenance of Windows Servers, ensuring system performance and stability with proactive monitoring and backups. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in Windows Server administration and a degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Additional certifications like SSCP are a plus. This role is a one-year contract, working Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in Windows Server system administration.
• Prefer with strong Windows Servers’ experience in Level 1 or early Level 2.
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification is an advantage.

Job description

Duration:1 year contract (Renewable/Convertible)

Salary Range:$4500 - $6000

Working Location:Jalan Boon Lay

Working Days and Time:Mon – Fri (7:30am to 5:45pm)

Job Responsibilities:

• Hardware setup, design, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Servers
• Proactive monitoring of system performance to ensure stability, security, and efficiency with 24x7x365 uptime
• Perform and ensure error-free server and data backups
• Execute restoration and disaster recovery exercises when required
• Implement IT security systems aligned with policies and guidelines
• Support vulnerability assessments and operating system compliance scanning
• Coordinate and implement regular software upgrades, patches, and vulnerability fixes
• Maintain compliance through regular reviews and audits
• Maintain accurate system documentation (inventory, configuration, settings)
• Liaise with vendors, internal stakeholders, and customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Support audit and compliance activities
• Operates in an AirGap environment

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years in Windows Server system administration
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Prefer with strong Window Servers’experience in Level 1 or early Level 2
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certificationis an advantage
• Strong experience in Microsoft Windows Server Technologies (2016, 2019, 2022), VMware Server Virtualization (ESXi), Windows 10 and above desktop support
• OS Security Patching, GPO Policies, and CIS Benchmark Hardening
• Experience in Linux Server administration is an added advantage
