Job summary
A leading software systems testing company in Singapore is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to manage servers and ensure security compliance. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure administration, strong knowledge of Windows Server and RHEL, and be familiar with VMware and system monitoring tools. This role requires collaboration in project design and implementation for reliable infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management
- Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, storage devices, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, RHEL) and system management tools.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Manage and monitor backup, recovery, and replication activities to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Security & Compliance
- Perform infrastructure security hardening and testing based on CIS benchmarks and Singapore Government security standards.
- Manage access controls and user accounts in line with IT security policies.
- Support compliance with IT governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
- Collaboration & Projects
- Participate in the design, setup, and implementation of new infrastructure solutions and enhancements.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal IT teams to resolve infrastructure issues and deliver reliable solutions.
- Support infrastructure-related documentation, capacity planning, and audit activities.
- Patch Management & Upgrades
- Test, stage, and deploy OS patches, firmware updates, and hardware upgrades.
- Apply change management best practices for controlled deployment of updates and enhancements.
- Hardware & Environment Support
- Support and maintain enterprise-grade hardware: Dell servers, Cisco switches, FortiGate firewalls, UPS, and Dell EMC storage.
- Manage and monitor virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenShift/Kubernetes) and infrastructure monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure components across environments (production, staging, development).
- Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain up-to-date SOPs, infrastructure diagrams, maintenance logs, and change records.
- Generate reports on performance, capacity, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for automation and reliability improvements to strengthen infrastructure resilience.
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, RHEL, VMware, and enterprise hardware (servers, storage, networking).
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery tools, firewalls, and system monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes), DevOps tools (Ansible, GitLab), and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management).
- Experience in pre-sales or tender preparation will be an added advantage.
- Candidate should be open and willing to learn about system, application, and middleware layers — including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of integrations.
