Cloud Platform Architecture & Engineering
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on AWS‑native services and best practices.
- Guide the development of Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and other automation tools to support efficient and resilient software delivery.
Technical Leadership & Team Management
- Provide architectural direction, hands‑on support, and mentorship to a team of Cloud and DevOps engineers.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Partner with InfoSec, auditors, and application teams to drive alignment across compliance, operations, and delivery practices.
Security, Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Work closely with internal InfoSec and Audit teams to identify and remediate compliance issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices across networking, IAM, data protection, and monitoring layers.
Automation & Observability
- Drive end‑to‑end automation across provisioning, patching, monitoring, and alerting processes.
- Leverage tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Sourcegraph, and Cloud Conformity to establish deep observability and proactive alerting capabilities.
Cloud Infrastructure Operations
- Demonstrate deep hands‑on expertise in AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, Route53) and Linux system administration.
- Support (DR) planning, infrastructure scans, and operational readiness drills.
- Participate in out‑of‑hours administration activities as required to maintain platform reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 4 years hands‑on with AWS and infrastructure/platform engineering.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of AWS services (compute, networking, storage, databases).
- Proven experience leading teams in cloud administration, DevOps, and automation.
- Proficient in scripting using Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Solid grasp of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, compliance, and cloud audit frameworks.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, and Cloud Conformit
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or ability to certify within 3–6 months).
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
- Exposure to FinOps and cost governance in AWS environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders.
