Job description

We are looking for an organised and proactive HR Officer to join an established international shipping company based in Singapore. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Officer will provide full‑Spectrum HR support, acting as the first point of contact for employees on HR‑related matters and ensuring smooth execution of HR operations and initiatives.

The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of HR generalist experience, strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws, and a keen interest in developing a broad HR career within a dynamic and global environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR enquiries, ensuring timely and professional support.
  • Manage recruitment administration including preparation of employment contracts, pre‑employment checks, onboarding, and corporate inductions.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure updates in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
  • Support off‑boarding processes such as exit interviews, regulatory reporting, and final documentation.
  • Assist in employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
  • Coordinate staff engagement activities and HR initiatives.
  • Handle HR operational tasks including visa applications, renewals, and expatriate travel arrangements.
  • Undertake HR administrative duties and ad‑hoc projects as assigned.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Good understanding of Singapore employment laws.
  • Experience with employment pass applications and SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and a strong team play.
