Overview
This role will be part of Lenovo’s Corporate Strategy Organization and report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Strategy.
Your role will be instrumental in driving Lenovo Group's growth, development, and achievement of strategic objectives. By leading the strategy & innovation forum on strategic business growth opportunities with Lenovo's high-level executive leaders, you will contribute to Lenovo's success and play a key role in shaping its future.
Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate strategy and innovation forum.
- Ensure the strategy innovation efforts align with Lenovo's long-term objectives, from baking innovative ideas to greenlighting, to deliver Lenovo group’s strategy innovation that drives business.
- Facilitate Lenovo’s senior management discussions and decision-making processes to bake internal ideas on future critical business growth opportunities/priorities.
- Design and build the strategy and innovation forum methodologies/mechanism that fit Lenovo.
- Follow up and support projects from ideation to landing to business impact via forum discussion at various levels.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess market/industry/technology trends, competitive landscape, business models, etc., based on business needs.
- Monitor and track the progress of action plans derived from the corporate strategy and innovation forum and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the forum’s smooth management and operations.
- Ad-hoc tasks requested by senior management.
Requirements
- Demonstrated solid analytical skills and hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated solid strategic thinking capability.
- Detail-oriented and possess a strong capability of critical thinking to solve complex issues and surface clear, actionable insights for leadership.
- Collaborative team contributor; excellent listening skills; effective influencer (e.g., influencing without authority); strong interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with actions in highly ambiguous environments – enjoys exploring nascent opportunities with enormous potential.
- Exceptional written & verbal communication, both in Mandarin and English.
- An MBA degree from a top school is preferable; overseas experience is a plus.
- Candidates MUST have 5-7 years of experience from top consulting companies with solid performance track records (McKinsey, Bain, BCG); Experience in strategy positions in multi-national corporate companies of technology is a plus.
