Job description

Dulwich College (Singapore) is a leading international school committed to excellence in teaching, learning and operational support. We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Head of Operations and Facilities to oversee our campus operations, facilities management, health & safety, and long‑term campus development.

As a key member of the Business Administration team, you will ensure our campus remains safe, efficient, sustainable, and fully aligned with the College’s mission to deliver an outstanding learning environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Operations & Facilities Management
  • Lead and oversee all third‑party service providers, including maintenance, security, cleaning, landscaping, catering, bussing, and nursing services.
  • Ensure all campus facilities, systems and equipment meet Dulwich College International standards and comply with local regulations.
  • Manage relocations, logistics and transportation services across the school.
  • Deliver small, medium and large‑scale premises improvement projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules, engineering systems, energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability projects.
Capital Projects & Master Planning
  • Lead the 10‑year campus masterplan, coordinating architects and designers to realise academic and infrastructure visions.
  • Prepare CAPEX submissions, budgeting, vendor proposals and project documentation.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
  • Serve as the College’s Health & Safety Coordinator, supporting ISO45001 and ISO9001 standards.
  • Oversee fire safety procedures, drills, risk assessments, environmental sanitation compliance and accident reporting.
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for premises‑related safeguarding matters.
Leadership & Financial Oversight
  • Lead and develop operations and facilities teams, setting performance targets and supporting professional growth.
  • Manage annual and monthly budgets for operations and facilities, ensuring accuracy, accountability and cost‑effectiveness.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Operations or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in facilities or property management, ideally within an education, healthcare or large community setting.
  • Strong experience managing large third‑party service contracts and leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and a strong customer‑service approach.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and best practices in H&S, facilities operations and sustainability.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
