Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Leader to oversee both strategic and people-related initiatives across the company. The company requires a mature HR professional who can drive performance management, talent development, culture building, workforce planning, and HR transformation, while providing senior-level partnership to the CEO and management team.

This role is critical in moving HR beyond operations and into a strategic value-adding function that enhances business performance, employee engagement, and organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute a multi-year HR strategy roadmap aligned with business goals.

  • Partner directly with the CEO and senior management team to provide strategic HR counsel.

  • Lead organisational development initiatives including structural design and workforce planning.

  • Identify HR trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve overall company performance.

2. Performance Management
  • Design, implement, and manage the performance appraisal framework across all departments and branches.

  • Introduce KPI setting, mid-year reviews, performance coaching, and calibration processes.

  • Train managers on conducting effective performance conversations.

  • Monitor and analyse talent performance to support business needs.

3. Talent Development & Training
  • Establish a company-wide talent development plan, especially for branch managers and frontline staff.

  • Develop leadership capability through structured training programs.

  • Build skills-based training roadmaps for retail/pawn operations, customer service, and compliance.

4. Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen workplace culture, communication, and employee experience.

  • Implement recognition programs, engagement activities, and feedback channels.

  • Champion change management efforts to support organisational growth.

5. HR Operations Oversight

(HR operations team will continue handling daily work; this role provides direction & governance)

  • Provide guidance to the HR operations team on recruitment, payroll, IR, and admin matters.

  • Review and improve HR policies, SOPs, and governance standards.

  • Ensure compliance with MOM regulations and industry requirements.

6. HR Data, Reporting & Compliance
  • Develop HR dashboards tracking turnover, absenteeism, manpower cost, and productivity.

  • Use data insights to recommend HR and business improvements.

  • Ensure HR practices meet regulatory and audit requirements.

Requirements
  • Minimum 8–12 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or strategic role.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience managing HR teams or initiatives.

  • Hands‑on, mature, and able to balance both strategic and operational needs.

  • Experience in retail, service, multi‑branch, or similar high‑volume manpower environments is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of performance management, talent development, and HR systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.

  • Ability to work with senior leadership and influence stakeholders at all levels.
