This is a strategic finance leadership role with a dual mandate:

  • Oversight of corporate functions - acting as a trusted advisor to corporate chiefs and ensuring financial governance.
  • Group-wide cost control and investment stewardship - driving cost discipline, optimizing OpEx and CapEx, and unlocking capital for future growth initiatives.

Description
  • Lead and execute cost-saving initiatives across corporate functions and business units through deep-dive analysis, benchmarking, and business case reviews.
  • Own the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, applying zero-based budgeting principles where appropriate.
  • Evaluate and challenge investment proposals, ensuring ROI and alignment with long-term strategic objectives. Prioritize capital allocation for high-impact projects.
  • Ensure robust internal controls, procurement compliance, and accurate accrual management for both OpEx and CapEx.
  • Act as a trusted finance advisor to corporate chiefs and functional heads, influencing decisions.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports with variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Transformation) to negotiate favorable terms and monitor contract impacts.
  • Provide financial leadership to corporate functions, ensuring spend aligns with strategic priorities.
  • Implement governance frameworks and standardized reporting dashboards for transparency and accountability.
  • Shape cost structures and investment priorities for the next 3-5 years, supporting regional expansion and digital transformation.
  • Unlock capital to fund new growth initiatives and transformation projects.
Profile

A successful candidate should have:

  • A minimum 10 years of experience in FP&A, business controlling, or finance transformation roles, ideally in FMCG, retail, or large-scale operations.
  • Strong track record in cost optimisation, and stakeholder management.
  • Professional certifications like CPA, CMA, and ACCA.
