Job Purpose

This pivotal role leads the
Agency distribution channel across Asia (Life & P&C) and
Digital transformation for distribution [agency, bank partnerships, others] & customer.
The mandate is to develop a next-generation distribution ecosystem aligned with Allianz’s Pinnacle 2030 strategy, integrating agency professionalization and digital solutions for growth. The role demands a strategic, innovative leader experienced in delivering results while building long-term capabilities across diverse markets.

What you do

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Strategic Leadership
    Develop and lead the regional strategy for agency distribution and digital transformation across Asia, elevating operating entities to new heights of excellence.
    Provide executive-level guidance to ensure alignment between country-level execution and regional/global priorities.
  • Agency Channel Development
    Drive agency recruitment, training, compensation, retention, productivity, and leadership development across markets.
    Implement leading practices for agency channel growth, integrating legacy models with new approaches.
    Promote a customer-focused, digital culture throughout the agency force.
  • Digital Transformation of Distribution
    Lead the digital strategy for agency, partnerships, and multi-channel sales.
    Use CRM, analytics, mobile, and AI to enhance sales, recruitment, and customer value.
    Promote digital platform adoption for streamlined experiences for advisors, partners, and customers.
  • Partnerships [ Digital Go-to-Market Enablement ]
    Collaborate with bancassurance partners to co-develop differentiated digital-first propositions.
    Create and refine go-to-market strategies leveraging internal benchmarks and external best practices.
    Ensure strong partner alignment on joint transformation roadmaps.
  • Analytics & Business Planning
    Build advanced analytics capabilities to measure and enhance distribution performance.
    Lead annual business planning, ensuring country plans align with regional growth, profitability, and transformation goals.
    Monitor and report on performance KPIs, conducting business reviews and financial reporting.
  • Performance, Optimization & Efficiency
    Deliver regional agency and partnership KPIs across growth, productivity, persistency, and efficiency.
    Continuously collaborate with entities to refine metrics and processes, driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    Leverage regional performance insights to identify opportunities and adapt strategies.
  • Strategic Business Case Evaluation
    Collaborate with markets to assess and evaluate business cases, mitigating risks, unlocking opportunities, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence
    Collaborate closely with local entities to co-create tailored solutions that propel business outcomes, fostering a unified approach to regional objectives. Cultivate robust relationships with key distribution and product stakeholders, facilitating the seamless exchange of insights and best practices. Represent the distribution and customer perspective in strategic discussions, ensuring that stakeholder voices are actively integrated into decision-making and innovation processes.
    Build strong partnerships with Chief Agency Officers, bancassurance leaders, and bank partners, marketing, products etc.
    Serve as the voice of distribution and customers in various forums.

What you bring

Degree qualified with at least 15+ years in insurance distribution, with multi-disciplinary exposure to products, digital asset management, technology, or operations etc., including 5+ years in agency management.
Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in additional Asian languages is desirable.
Industry Knowledge: Possesses sound knowledge of agency sales, sales processes, trend identification, and a profound understanding of products and back-office functions.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
Interpersonal Skills: Team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
